HDD Prices?

What's with Hard Drive prices? I've noticed looking for smaller drives that anything under 1tb will still only save you like $20 max. Also, larger capacities tend to be CHEAPER in some cases than the smaller versions... anyone know why?

The market for smaller hard drives is going down since they are being replaced by SSDs, and subsequently they are being produced less? I don't really know..

Nobody is manually updating prices, they are being updated through large .csv files into the servers. Then the price can fluctuate with demand, stock and what have you.
