If it is only for gaming this will perform better and it is cheaper http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NY6pnQ

This is a real question: Why is ddr3 8gb faster than a 16gb ddr4 and a z97 better than z99s for gaming?

I agree, only because I wasted a ton of money on a keyboard, mouse and headset which crushed my skull might I add.

They look really good and their keyboards are great.

This is a real question: Why is ddr3 8gb faster than a 16gb ddr4 and a z97 better than z99s for gaming?

Most current games use less than 8GB and are not sensitive to memory speeds provided the modules have decent sub-timings.

Most current games are moderately not highly multi-threaded. As a result core speed generally has a higher impact than number of cores, provided there are 4 or more cores.

However, there are several titles that benefit from the additional processing power offered by X99 cpu. Aslo, as gpu become more powerful they will need more processing power to keep them well fed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
