Hey guys, need your opinion again.

Newegg US has these speakers on sale http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6262YT4124

Are they worth it for movies and tv surround sound? I can barely find any reviews and discussion about them online. I would be hooking it up to a Yamaha RX-v377 or RX-v477 receiver.

I know there are much better speakers out there. But this set is on sale refurbished for $140 so it's piqued my interest.

Would you bite this bait?

I personally think 5.1 is way too much work. 2.0, 2.1 or soundbar with sub is much less complicated and annoying. Unless you reaaaally watch many movies that have 5.1 sound support.

I thought nearly all new movies were 5.1?

They are, where do you get your movies though. And I personally dislike the amount of speakers and wires everywhere.

I usually buy movies on blu-ray. Most television from Amazon Prime/Netflix streamed from a Fire TV Stick.

Yes, I have issues with speakers and wires everywhere also, but we have an area rug that does a decent job of covering up some cables that I have now.

I just don't know how decently these speakers will perform. I've had HK speakers before and they were fantastic, but they don't always make things with the same quality.
