I did sacrifice some of the better options I had simply because of aesthetics but I'll still appreciate it if you could suggest me more options, I would also like a few recommendations for Thermal Compound.

Outside of bumping up to a 970, cause the 960's are kinda just okish, what do you plan to do with this computer?

(970 is only like 70 bucks more expensive FYI)

I can't believe I trust my friends *facepalm*.

They told me that the 970 is like $100 more expensive.

Anyway here's the new build:

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($91.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus GRYPHON Z97 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($159.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($104.89 @ OutletPC)
Case: BitFenix Pandora MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($91.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Total: $1279.07

I plan to do medium to high gaming and light to medium editing (Photoshop, After Effects et cetera).

+1 to the 970, its worth it.

is there a reason for the bitfenix pandora? linus wasnt very positive about it in the review, and to me it doesnt really seem a very good case either.

I just want a case that isn't overly huge plus I will love to take time with cable management.

I like Fractal Design's R5 but it's too huge for my tastes.

Corsair's 350D doesn't have a fan filter and the 450D has water cooling holes in the front of the case.

Yes, I'm that picky.

You don't need 750w for that build, I dropped it down to a good 650w PSU

i feel like you're going to hurt the usability of the system with such a small case, that has a lot of small downsides to it.

EDIT: something like this may be better: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011028ww

I doubt that cooler will fit in a Pandora.

The motherboard has hints of gold.

The memory is not in the shades of black.

I intend to SLI later so I'll need 750 Watts.

Ok so you didn't mention going to SLi later, that makes more sense.

I'm all for appearance, but for me personally it has to work good before it can look good, I look at the screen when I'm on my PC not the case, again just my opinion.

I'm not going to pay more for components that are less performance or just to make it look good.

Nice build either way I just feel the way I feel.

Yeah, I feel like it's the best option.

The thing is that it has no fan filter on the top which I really needed, I'll just mod it in some way.

Small cases are not worth the hassle I guess.

small cases are a niche audience, with very little good options.

going smaller than a certain size (about what the 350D is) will limit your options that badly its almost not worth the smaller size.

I think I'm fine with the 350D, it's cheaper than the Pandora and doesn't make that many comprises.

I just wish there was an easy way out to get a fan filter on the top of it like the one on the 750D.

to be honest, its not that hard, "jerry rigging" a pantyhose to the inside is all you need, i'm going to do that to my servers soon.

ps: black tape is ideal, you barely notice it.

Make a fan filter with an old pair of tights

The i7 is about $100 more expensive.

I have a grudge against Cooler Master for some reason...

The motherboard has a tint of red.

I like the old memory aesthetic a bit more.

The drives are not coloured black.

I like the EVGA card more because... aesthetics.

I'm picky, really really picky.

It won't be as sexy as the fan filter Corsair makes like on their 450D.

true but it will work :Phttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Aluminum-Dustproof-Meshy-Filter/dp/B00EDKOSO2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431109365&sr=8-1&keywords=fan+filter ?
