So im on steam right now still deciding whether i should buy arma 2 and all the expansions for only 10 bucks. I have never played the game before so i don't really know anything about the game lol. But my real question is are the multiplayer servers still up ? I was reading some reviews and people were saying the servers were down but then there were some people saying you needed to use hamachi to get into servers. So if anybody still plays this game could you please tell me what is true ? Ohh and would be cool if anybody could tell me if the dayz mod is still going on there.

What else is there to say i am to n00b to understand computers so yea...

Why the fuck did you format like that....

Arma 2 or 3 has never had it's own servers. They have always been third party owned and operated. Yes there are still TONS of active Arma 2 server with tons of different missions (sort of like gametypes) running. One thing you need to know before buying is that Arma has an extremely steep learning curve and isn't for the impatient. Also you WILL NEED to learn to add/remove mods to play since 90% of all servers use mods.

Corsair M95 | SuperLux 668b's | Logitech C615 | ViewSonic VX2250wm | Random OEM keyboard until I rage break it and grab another random OEM keyboard from my pile.

There is still a ton of servers. Arma 2 is very good but why not going straight for Arma 3? It plays a lot better.

Yes as was mentioned above me.. the game is quite buggy but it wont take fun from playing it. Also keep in mind that this is simulator so there is prety big learning curve if you want to know everything and you have to think a lot while playing it otherwise you will die a lot.

don't buy arma if you're expecting to play a normal fps.

simply aiming at someone and shooting them results in you missing with every shot lol.

the game is extremely realistic so bullet drop, wind and whatnot really affect your shooting.

even trying to shoot after running is hard as your character shakes more.

its a great game really worth the effort.. once you put a lot of effort in!

for the first few hours all you'll do is run around lost, hear a crack and then you'll fall down dead not having a clue what happened.
