I need help with my raid 0 array

I just got 2 500gb hdd's that I want to use for a raid 0 array and im using an MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard with raid support. I put both of the drives in raid 0 with the bios and boot the os from my kingston ssd 60gb. How come when I boot up my system on my other storage drive, it crashes? Do I have to get drivers.

Raid 0 for HDD's? What happens when the array crashes? I, personally, wouldn't RAID HDD's.

The crashing? Yes, I'd try the drivers.

Honestly im not someone who wants to use this for future options, im testing things.

i can not recomend raid on a amd chipset becuse it have really bad preformens and is not completly stable

I use a boot HDD and two RAID 0 HDDs. Set the controller to RAID and assign the two 500gb hard drives for striping. Can you boot to just the SSD without the hard drives being used?

Fair enough, I like to experiment too, the drivers should fix this.

There are no drivers for hard drives. There are utilities, but none that are vital.

 

@OP, do you have an OS installed on the other drives? Dumb question, but a good one to start out on.
