I have my G3258 at 4.4 and Bf4 stutters and crashes so much the game is unplayable. It often crashes.  Any way to get cpu load down? It sits at 90 when I play.

use your I7 in your tag? /s

a 70$ processor wont be able to do everything. its not magic. Lower settings, throw more ram at it, OC further, see whats running in the background?

Just bf4. Yea I am gonna get a 4690k in couple months. My I7 is for the workstation I have. The g3258 is in a separate build. and i had plans to put it in like where a ps4 would go. but that didnt work so yea.

That's the G3258 for you. Stuttering is a very big issue with the G3258 playing AAA titles like BF4, even with an overclock.

It is a dual core, so don't expect much more than that

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

it's a dual core, before you bought it I would've recommended you the Athlon x4 860k or i3 only for Bf4, but if your playing some single threaded games then get the pentium

My Old Rig: Phenom II X4 965 4.0 ghz, Asus Motherboard, 4 GB DDR3-1333, Antec Case and PSU, no video card atm

My New Rig: i5-4590, MSI Motherboard, 8 GB DDR3-1600, Corsair Case, XFX PSU, HD 7950

I'm glad I went with AMD at this price point, I didn't think 2 threads was enough anymore. I think it's the only price point where AMD makes sense.

it's still decent, like the pentium is an amazing overclocker and has good single thread performance, but if you were only playing bf4, the pentium wouldn't be the best choice...the i3 would've been a better choice if you wanted the single thread performance, and athlon/fx if you wanted to multitask or play games that require 4+ cores
