room modifications.

so me and the woman have started painting the house room by room. one of our rooms is the computer room, decent size room too. now does anyone have any good ideas on anything i can do to the room for simply appearance or convenience? i have been doing some slight rewiring as we go to some of our rooms, so im interested to know if anyone has like wired hdmi in to their walls or anything ridiculous thats cool and or makes their life easy.

 

basically im bored and putting holes in the wall of my computer room, anything i should do before i fix everything up and paint? also any cool ideas for paint and or wallpaper?

Put 4 or more AC vents into the roof to keep the rigs cool and paint the room either a stark white or mild grey.

Putting HDMI in the wall is no problem just make sure they are wall rated or have good shielding. As for mods or good things to do, if you have a lot of plans to run cables in the future and want everything hidden having races or pre-installed PVC conduit in wall cavities can help.

 

As for unique finished on paint well you could do a chalkboard wall to write stuff on or textured paint finishes, decals are good also but you may need to find a sign shop locally to do large stuff for you.

good idea about planning to run cables in the future, i for sure want to run ethernet around the room for multiple computers to use, and that is one thing i know for sure.
