for people who dont game or do profesional work on thier computers this is about as good as i can make it.

ofcourse if you dont want to try linux add an OS and maybe a second monitor so they can be more productive, definately upgrade the SSD to a 120+ gig one if you have the money.

I think that sounds fantastic about the ssd addition.... you think the stock cooler will be a bit loud?

I have no idea to be honest. I've never considered an AMD CPU, so I have no idea what their stock coolers are like.

Even so, there are dirt cheap coolers like the Zalman CPS that would work too. They go as low as $10.

I think the SSD will add more of a speedy feeling than the higher SKU processor.

Adds a bit to the cost but now you have a better cooler and SSD.

To be honest, if you don't think she's going to be stressing the CPU and the fan won't be spinning up, the stock cooler won't be that loud.

Largely depends on the case as well. Not just the cooler.

my only problem with yours is the lack of usb3 header on mobo. she has a pile of usb3 externals with movies on them that she takes with her when she goes on deployment so usb3 will help a lot when she is trading stuff to and from those externals

Ugh this is why I hate AMD boards. Their feature sets are absolute garbage at the lower tiers and there's no reason for it.

The cheapest board with them is about $60. I'd just spend the $12 or so on an internal USB 3.0 card.
