Price/performance and with the 390x requiring less power will that be a cheaper choice via let's say 6mon? I have only one 1440p monitor but I plan to get 2 more and have 7680 x 1440p. Would I need dual 295x or dual 390x and which would be more cost effective power wise? I play all games. ESO bf4 cod mordor dying light tes dota. Also will i5 4690k be bottlenecked at 16gb ram? Sorry for long post.

Ultra at 1080p, that's all that matters.

We have no idea what the 390x is going to look like or cost...?

Another thread like this... people need to learn that it is hard to know the performance and cost of a GPU that isn't even out yet!

One doesn't even exist either.

Earlier this year AMD were showing off the performance of Fiji and Liquid VR with the Oculus rift, but they wouldn't let anyone look inside the computer case (because fugly early engineering samples no doubt, plus the whole future launch hush-hush thing).

Ok So everything I've read about the 390x is just a rumor then? Well then, will a single 295x handle 3 1440p monitors or will I need 2?

For gaming?  That setup is almost 50% more pixels than 4k, even the 295x2 will have trouble driving that on any modern games.  However, Quadfire doesn't scale well so you're probably better of waiting to see how the 390X performs.

how so? my single 290x does fine with 1 1440p monitor maxed settings, if the 295x is 2 290x cards then it should do 2 monitors easy with higher clock and watercooled for oc

He wants 3 1440p monitors, not 2.  That's a significantly higher number of pixels to render than even 4k, I don't expect you'd be able to get a smooth gameplay experience on any new titles with a 295x2 at that resolution.

3686400 pixels more to render for that one monitor.. Id expect 2 390x's to handle it no problem but a 295x2 will have its problems with AAA Games and such
