Water Cooling for server.

Go to solution Solved by MooCow,

Hello friends. I'm trying to cool a server that uses an LGA 1150 socket cpu. A hyper 212 evo isn't doing the trick because of the high ambient temps (upper to mid 80s F).

I was thinking of getting a H100 but I don't know how many hours of continuous use its rated for. This needs to run 24/7 for a few years. without too much maintenance. Also custom loop is NOT an option.

I would never recommend running watercooling in a server if you value uptime and reliability. There's a high risk involved and if you can't risk downtime, you're going to be spending a few hours to days repairing any kind of watercooling-related issue.

There are plenty of powerful air coolers out there which will provide you with adequate temperatures for your server, but it is also important for the whole system to have good ventilation and airflow, so it might be time to evaluate the placement of fans as well as the placement of the server itself.

I have been running a couple AIO coolers (including corsair) for 24/7 operation for about the past 3 years with no issues. I however use, listen to, and periodically check them on a normal basis.
