I've been trying to overclock my CPU today. The stock multiplier is 35 and I changed it to 37. I saved and checked CPUZ. No results. I don't know what to do. SzvhoeO.jpg

I've got mine set to 100 (bus) x 39 (multiplier) on the stock cooler and it runs perfectly fine. (1.0367V)

do a stress test? I don't think so as I just want to see that the clock speed has increased then I'll stress test it.

thats a easy way how, i just start occt just a for a in to make sure it stays where i set it. also a game works just fine too.

It will boost up to it mate, look at the multiplier on CPU-Z which shows 8 - 37

its not going to that frequency due to turboboost.

turn it off and try again. or just use a stress test

i can run most cpus at "90 ghz" if im not stressing them they arent stable

I find that very hard to believe mate.

Prime 95 and cinebench are good stresstest/benchmarking tools. CPUZ isn't really good at catching max CPU clock, but shows realtime.

I recommend downloading CPUID HWMonitor, it shows all your voltages, and current/max cpu clock speeds. it also shows temps and alot of other useful stuff.

Nope, never use Prime on Haswell, it overvolts the hell out of them. Use Intel's OC utility thing or AIDA64.
