HP trackpad, cursor jitters around

Go to solution Solved by Ruostunut kokis,

It could be maybe broken, or possibly just has something like grease on it. My Acer Iconia W510 tablet's keyboard dock's trackpad also jitters around like crazy occasionally. It briefly helps me to whipe the trackpad clean from possible hand grease with for example a sleeve, but soon the problems come back, and start happening quite often, as usual.

If an external mouse works, then it should be fine, the trackpad just might have some physical issues. Doesn't seem like a software issue.

I have a HP j021tx, and for some reason whenever I use the trackpad, the cursor jitters up and down. This has started today. There is a little bit of paint that came off the trackpad, It all started happening when I was trying to fix my laptop charging problem. When I use the mouse it works fine for me.

My trackpad driver is up to date.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
