I need some serious help.

Kevinclon

UPDATE, I found a bad ram stick and removed it. However I still Have these problems.

-Sometimes gets stuck while starting up on error codes 64 and A3

---Either takes around a minute to start itself, else I have to restart it or it just sits like that for hours.

-Start-up takes from 20 seconds to 2 minutes.

---Sits both on the Mobo logo screen and the windows login screen.

-When it finally lets me log on, takes from 1 minute to 5 minutes for the Start screen to become responsive

---In this time if I click the windows key it just wont let me type, click, or even windows key out.

-About half the time that I Log on, after about 30 seconds it makes the chimes like I just plugged in and then unplugged a flash drive.

Also I got this when running sfc /scannow

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]
© 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

Edit This is the log

*Origional Post*

So my computer has been having some issues, however I had a busy semester and at the time I would rather have my computer with issues than accidentally break it. I know its bad and may of caused damages but it was what I decided to do.

-It blue screens way to often between 0 and 3 times a day.

---When it blue screens it normally happens when I do something.

---Example when I switched to the astronaut building in KSP, not every time.

---Closing a tab in chrome

---Like 10 times launch day of GTA5 <- this pissed me off.

~WHAT I'VE DONE~

-Turned my CPU/GPUs back to default clocks. (No Noticeable change).

-Both Motherboard BIOS and Intel Software show CPU at stock speeds.

-That is when I noticed this and now I am 100% lost.

---Notice Windows vs Intel clock speed readings.

what did you use to clock it back?

Gpu - EVGA PercisionX

But what I think your talking about is the CPU and I did that in the bios, Ive only used the Intel software for stress testing a while ago.

Temperature readings? That 60C @ 12% usage is a little high, no? What's your average?

Run memtest86 for a pass or two?

Clean Windows up a bit with CCleaner, tune the registry too while you're at it.

What make and model is your motherboard? That will put the POST codes into perspective. Every manufacturer has their own POST code definitions.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

I'll Do that now, but I did just exit out of KSP like less than 10 seconds ago

Pic appropriate

no offense, jokes

EDIT: serious, task manager clock speed is not accurate FYI

Pic was from me on a day when I was more normal than most times.

(Mem test just hit 50% YAY)

Still I am having problems and that is off by more than a small amount. I saw it hit 4.4

If you're testing with multiple sticks then it's time to pull all but one and start testing individuals until you find the culprit.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

Also did some digging on your error codes. 64 is a handoff stage where it starts loading everything into memory. So it makes sense that it would hang there with a bad stick of RAM.

A3 is IDE device activation which is a little strange. Normally you'd see that error with a failing drive or even a bad SATA cable. Could just be symptomatic.

It may mean faulty memory. Try it a couple more times and if you still get an error, you need new ram.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Thanks for that. I use SSD's for boot and they either fail completely or work completely right?

Yep, a dead ssd is as good as a brick. But killing one is VERY hard unless it was dead on arrival.
