Budget Computer Speakers

Go to solution Solved by xCaleb,

If you can save a little bit more then you can get the simple audio listen for 150$ on massdrop.

OK, what is a good set of speakers I can get for my computer with a price tag of around $100.  I am gonna have 2 1440 monitors an awesome keyboard and mouse and gaming rig so I want speakers to go with them but Im at the end of my budget because of the 1440 monitors.  What would you guys suggest?

This may not be the exact answer your asking for, but I've been using a Lepai lp-2020a+ amp hooked up to some old technics speakers and it sounds very nice. For you I would find some speakers you like and use the amp for them it gives good sound and decent power for a 2 channel amp. I like this cause it allows for you to use what ever you prefer in the way of speakers without getting stuck into buying a all-in-one pc speaker system that may or may not look or sound the way you want them too.

The amp is around $25 on amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-LP-2020A-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0049P6OTI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430832666&sr=8-1&keywords=lepai+lp-2020

You can pair it with a nice set of speakers like these, http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-Audio-B652-AIR-Bookshelf-Speaker/dp/B00NOA58RS/ref=sr_1_6?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1430833158&sr=1-6&keywords=Bookshelf+Speakers

or just some old pair of speakers you already have while you save up for a nicer set.

I wouldn't recommend getting anything other than the Pro Media 2.1s unless you're ready to shell out $3000+ on speakers, an amp, etc. The Klipsch's are the best you can get at the price range, fantastic highs and mids and pretty decent lows. In terms of audio fidelity and quality, they're the best you can get for under $2000, not including a decent amp.

I'm like you. Spend all my money on a kickass desktop gaming computer and monitor, then not have enough for decent speakers. I had even less than you have, $50. I ended up with Cyber Acoustics Powered Computer Speakers system (CA-3602) and haven't looked back. The sounds is incredible and for just $40 you can't go wrong. Or there's plenty more ideas here https://consumerexpert.org/best-computer-speakers-under-50/ for budget speakers.

In my exp, you don't need to go made on sound for gaming. $100 is more than enough to enhance your gaming environment. Hope my ramblings help.
