Case upgrade...?

This isn't something people upgrade often but I think it's necessary for me.

For reference, this is my steam banner, which includes a picture of my PC/cables in the top left

So as we can see the cables aren't that good, but that's not all.

-There's no room for fans

-The Hyper212 hardly fits

-The hard drives are way to close to the GPU and cables are to close together

So I want to get a bigger case, but im not sure how big, enough so I can fit plenty of fans (1 front mounted, and 1 bottom mounted if my PSU will fit it, and a h100i eventually top mounted, maybe 1 fan back mounted)

Optical drives not required but not restricted either

HDD bays i'd prefer to be mounted on the other side of the case like the Define S, but if I can still fit a fan it will not be restricted

Cant decide whether or not to get a full tower, but it will be very roomy.

Black, no window panel required, I'm fine hiding it

$200AUD MAX

Choices so far:

Define S (Not available in Australia atm, otherwise I would have already bought it)

Define r5 (would prefer the S first)

Corsair 450 (or some other corsair case, mostly what I like)

This is a case UPGRADE so it should last forever so good build quality, and future proof (even though its just a case)

If you're thinking about a define already, how about an old define R4? IMO a better case, (I don't like that bent motherboard tray) and about 130 AUD.

The bend is for cable management, and it does make atx motherboards look better, It does prevent anything even slightly over an ATX form factor from fitting however.

Okay, and why is the r4 better?

P.S I've never seen an Australian with such a great build, i'm so jelly dude, where do you buy your stuff? And where did you get a reference card?

Reference 980 was courtesy of ebay (planning sli, and waterblocks at a later point), Ramcity for the xp941, and I had to get the MOBO from germany (ASUS australia is still reluctant to admit it even exists in the country). The rest is all pretty common gear.

Unless you're running a E-ATX mobo it's big enough, and plenty of cooling. Think it's 120mm based (I'd have to check, and I'm feeling lazy)

Of course, I know that but I'm talking fans and cable space, as my case is mid aswell

I buy all my stuff from au retailers, which is probably the wrong thing to do :P I love Asus so I might start buying there

not really. If you can find a better price for something small, but expensive like a cpu, you're better off buying it where it's cheaper. as freight won't be a major cost. for most of your other components however you're better off sticking to AU retailers, as the freight will kill any saving you might have made. I can't recomend the WS motherboard I have to anyone except in certain specialised aplications, and even it is now available here now.
