Should I convince my Nana to let me build her a PC? She's been using the same iMac since 2007. It will only be for web browsing and photo saving but her iMac is so slow.

Also, if you could suggest a build that is fairly cheap that will do what we need, including a monitor that has built in speakers (1080p)

I'd love micro-ATX for her so it doesn't take too much room

What if you replace the HDD of the iMac with a SSD? Should make it faster.

The HDD speed isn't the issue. The CPU is so slow. We've done fresh installs of OSX, but ti's is still extremely slow, she has a laptop she uses instead ATM that she wants to move away from. She prefers the desktop experience but the iMac is so slow she stays away from it whenever she can

Plus she prefers Windows now over OSX
