PSU 24 pin

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

It happens sometimes. Same thing on my motherboard. It's fine, unless it bothers you just because you know it's not in "all the way" you don't need to worry about it.

Hey,

Recently my friend asked my to build a PC for him. He got a MSI Z97 5 Gaming motherboard and a corsair HX750i PSU. I never had this problem, but the 24pin cable does NOT want to go all the way in and does not click. I made sure the pins were not bent and it's the correct way in. The cable plugs in and makes contact but it bothers me that it does not go all the way in. I did push it in hard but it bends the motherboard a lot and I don't fancy breaking it. Any suggestions? All the other connectors are fine. I did not use Vaseline to easy the insertion.

You won't break the board, it's flexible enough. I had almost the same issue with my current build but the 24 pin did go in all the way, but then pin didn't click. You had to push it manually.
