Me and my dad cant come to a agreement. dose GPU's if needed use some of the system RAM. cause i know integrated GPU's use system RAM but what about Dedicated?

so then how come you need a GPU with more VRAM to use multiple monitors?

and your system ram is to help with tasks not to use it for your video card

thats why when you do alot of tasks it is better to have more ram

same with vram you want to avoid it trying to take from other sources with having more vram if you use more then 1 monitor or a high res display

If I had one wish, I would ask for a big enough ass for the whole world to kiss

are you able to dedicate some of your system RAM to you GPU. cause mine only has like 500mb of VRAM

i will post a dif topic asking this

Your framerates will take a dive if you have to use the system RAM.  The memory controller is integrated in the CPU, so the GPU would have to go through the CPU first for all RAM operations.  Meaning, massive latency.  Also system RAM has much lower bandwidth than graphics-optimized RAM.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, the system RAM is not directly connected to the GPU physically, only to the CPU, and there is no way to change that in software.
