I have a HP Pavilion A6512P, and I have had it for a few years and it has worked fine, but recently the audio has stopped working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the audio driver, I have upgraded from Vista to Win 7, and I have tested the speakers on a different computer and they work and I have tried the back IO ports and the front IO ports but nothing is working. If you have any things that I should try to fix the sound I would love to hear it.

The sound hardware may be dead.

Since you tested the speakers in another computer and they work, that's about all you can do.

Have you opened the laptop up? Maybe the connector of the speaker's gone loose.
