HEY!

I have a 1TB Seagate Barracuda. I was wondering, is it dead?

It seems to connect to my computer just fine, but when I try browsing the folders or partitions it crashes Windows Explorer. also it tends to disconnect and reconnect at random. I have tried running CrystalDisk software, but the drive doesn't pop up in the software.

I can't run the drive internally since I only have a laptop at the moment. If you want me to try anything I will as fast as possible.

Here's a recording of the drive running. Does it sound weird?

Thanks for reading!

Greetings,
Eve~

Usually when a drive is clicking like that it is on it's way out...

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

Unless the clicking is coming from the arm reading/writing data.
