Hey guys, in my quest for new headphones i came across the Creative Fatal1ty headset. and every review i can find of them is positive, and they are pretty much always out of stock unless its the day or two after they come in to most shops, so they must have some reason so many people want them.

Does anyone own this headset and can give a review of the comfort and sound quality (i hear good things about the surround capabilities).

I do have them. And at first I didin't liked them that much, but after I bought new set - I fucking hate it.

It took couple months for my ears to adapt to it. Sound quality is decent at it's price (I guess), but overall - "meh". They are not comfy, if you ear is big cups will be too small.  Cloth pads got dirty very quickly, and they are not even replaceable.

Had no experience with them but just reading reviews on them compared to the creative its like comparing dog poo and a steak dinner.

I would buy the Sennheisers any day of the week.

The Dick of the audio page!

Yup, just keep in mind that they do not have a mic. You could buy a separate mic.

the mic factor doesn't really bother me right now. Im just about the headphones themself right now. Also looking at reviews I think ill go for a sennheiser set of some kind

Superlux makes some seriously amazing headphones for around the same price as the Fatal1ty headset. I used to own the Fatal1ties a long time ago and now use Superlux HD681 EVOs; the 681 EVOs demolish the Fatal1ties so badly its not even funny. Simply put, the Fatal1ty headset is trash.

do you use a DAC/AMP with the 681s? Or do they not need it?
