Full waterblock, given that you already have a loop. The full block will cool the VRAM and VRMs, something that a g10 setup struggles with.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).

I wasn't going to really oc them hard, but I have been hitting 95 degrees on the top card in some games. And with the g10 if and when I upgrade I can swap them out can't I?

What all would I need for a full block setup? I know abother rad wouldn't be bad, the connectors, a water bridge ( dont know which one yet) and would i need new thermal pads?

240mm rad waterblocks fittings pump and tubing

@Snef can probs help more than I can

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Even if you don't oc at all it's a bad idea to not cool the VRMs on any card, especially something with high power consumption line the 290x. If you don't cool them properly you risk a VRM failure which could easily fry your card.

The same problem exists with the VRAM modules except instead of frying your card you just end up getting errors like artifacting after they get too hot or wear out too much because of the heat.

Wait, you already have a loop for your CPU?

If so, then you absolutely go waterblocks.

If not, a single NZXT G10 + H55 on your top card will provide you enough cooling to reduce temps on BOTH cards because you are removing the heat from one card.  Lots of people with multi GPU setups want to go G10 route, I tell them to start with one card, their top card, see how it goes, then add a second if they want.  And yes, the G10 can be moved from GPU to GPU.

if you already have a loop for your CPU, full block is better

but before telling you what to buy, we need to know your current build with all water cooling parts and what Motherboard you have

and what brand and model of your GPUs

and a couple of pics would help a lot

Motherboard Asus Maximus VII Hero

Gpu- Both are msi twin frozr IV 290x 4gb

The water cooling system is pushing maybe 4 years old now. It was one of the XSPC Rasa kits. Has the drive bay combo.

What waterblock would be best, I've looked at ekwb and xspc so far.

Actually Aquacomputer is the best overall, especially if you get the backplate to go with it. Doesn't get the best GPU temp (it's off by about a degree) but does cool the power delivery components better. But it is also a bit more expensive. EK is saying their reference coolers should work with your card, so any reference cooler should work for you.
