Should I Overlock HyperX RAM!

Hey Guys,

 

I was wondering if I overclock my Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8gb 1866MHz would I see a big difference, is it worth it? If I should overclock my RAM, would be great to get some tips please :)

you can but really you dont notice it if you are someone how whats to push all the power your computer can give do it but i dont think it makes much difference

No don't bother. There is no point mate, it will only add more things to become unstable and the performance gain you wouldn't even notice.

It makes quite a big difference in cinebench. @Jumper118 @ProKoN, not sure if you two are awake or not. :P

It will make a difference in some benchmarks and certain use cases like video editing, but in things like gaming and general tasks you won't notice any difference.

 

I say go for it, but don't bother messing around too much with timings and voltage. Increase speed until things start becoming unstable then back it off a notch.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).

his is already fast enough, it not like it runs at 1600MHz it will be fine

The differences between 1600MHz and 1866MHz are barely noticeable. Even if it was 1600MHz it would be perfectly fine unless he was rocking an APU.

1600 Mhz is sweet spot, if thats your reccomended speed on the box then dont bother mate.
