MTLDR ERROR

Are you sure that it wasn't NTLDR?

It basically means that the thing you're trying to boot from is not bootable. Check if you have a USB drive or other storage device in your PC that it could try to boot from. If it's a USB or similar, remove it first, if not, then go to the BIOS (F1/F11 whatever it says at startup) and change the boot order so that your main hard drive is first in the list.
