So I got a XFX 8800GTS for 10 bucks and I wanted to try out a PhysX configuration just to see the numbers however, after installing the card, nvidia control panel wouldn't detect it. Then my pc just stopped detecting my GTX 960. Then after restarting, it constantly BSODS with the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE until I pull out the 8800GTS.

Is the card dead? I knew 10 bucks was too good to be true haha

No, if it did work it will actually reduce your performance. Linus already did a test on this.

Prolly should have saved that 10 bucks for my SLI anyways.

Oh well.

It's a pretty solid card tho. The PCB doesn't flex like my 960 does.

Does a 650 Ti work as a decent PhysX card tho? I can trade it with a friend that doesn't even play games on his PC.

Right so I'm going to trade my 8800GTS for a GTX 460 PhysX setup alongside my 960 and I was just wondering if my poor little 600 watt PSU can handle both cards. I know it's stupidity but hey, I'm swapping a 8800GTS for a GTX 460. If it doesn't perform to my liking I could always keep it as a spare.

Anyone know if 600 watts can handle it?
