How to reduce network usage from Plex?

So I let my girlfriend watch her shows from my plex but when I play a game like Counter Strike, I get lag spikes.

 

I told her to turn down her video playback settings which helped but didn't fix it

 

Anyway to avoid this besides faster internet?

Internet has nothing to do with plex

She's miles away and streams from her phone which means I need to upload to her..

but 3rd party tools can do taht

but idk what that will do to the stream
