The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and GTX 970M

Hello there,

 

So I was looking around for awhile if there was any topic about the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M 6GB, And how well it will probably run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in theory.
 

So I am a bit curious to what you guys think of that, since i recently bought a laptop with this graphic card and got the game for free from Nvidia promotion.

The only thing I can say is the it will probably run better than most people tell you. Most people like to say how insanely hard it is to run the witcher 2 maxed out so witcher 3 will also be so hard. Well actually the witcher 2 was one of the easiest games to run, even for it's time. You just don't turn on ubersampling and you will be fine. Might as well just be 4k supersampling. So I get the feeling that it will run quite well on 970m.

I actually just recently finished playing The Witcher 2 with ubersampling (maxed out settings) and it ran fairly good in my opinion, was quite enjoyable. Thanks for commenting that though was nice to read.

Not sure why you would want uber sampling on a 970m unless you are fine with 30fps. But I suppose if you are fine with that kind of frame rate then you will definitely be good for the witcher 3 without uber sampling.

I was mainly just though checking it out but yeah i prefer 60 fps over 30 fps, but I am curious how many frames I will be able to get on The Witcher 3, Is the GTX 970M comparable to a GTX 770?

Yeah it's fairly comparable to that. But like what was said above, you can't know until it comes out.

Agreed on that, I guess I will wait until the game is out and download it from GOG.com and then add my thoughts about here so that if others might wonder in the future they can read it here or something lol.
