Poor RAM management from Lollipop affecting the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge - Other devices as well?

Isn't this like really old news?

I read something like this months ago.

It is but it's on-going issue that still surrounds devices (including news ones like the S6).

Google has fixed most of the memory leaks, there are a few left to squash. 5.1 update on my Nexus 6 helped a lot of performance issues including in my use getting rid of memory leaks in general. With 5.0 I wasn't able to run my phone a week without restarting it because it just got slow and laggy (slightly) Now with 5.1 I am currently 15 days running and haven't ran into any app instability or system crashes.

They are fixing things.

Hehe, what's funny is that iOS has the same behavior (very aggressively expunge from RAM and then fetch from disk cache again) but on there it's considered a "feature".

Hopefully it will be fixed soon. It wastes both performance and battery. Lollipop has been a pretty crappy OS update in terms of issues.
