5570 + 3850 Crossfire?

Hello, I am building my friend a rig out of old parts we have gotten from other friends and family, and we've ended up with 2 not very powerful GPUs. I was wondering if there was any BIOS mod or driver hack to make the 2 cards work together so he could get an okay framerate in current games at low settings? If I can't put them in crossfire could I possibly do something else to make them work together?

Not until DirectX12/Vulkan and then probably not because they're almost certainly too old.
