I'm getting a new battery for my laptop. Its li-on of course.

My question is when I get the battery, Do I keep the system off and charge the battery to 100%? <------ Option 1

Or do I use the computer and charge the battery when it runs out? <------- option 2

I want to know what I need to do to get a good start of the new battery

Sorry If I did not choose the right area to post this Topic

Thank you!!!!

Agreed its not worth worrying about due modern cells cope well with actual use and are designed to do that. Also on battery many laptops limit performance so that would work against you on some loads.
