I've been running my machine in my silverstone RV03 for some time now and thinking about modding it but i couldn't bring myself to do it.

I've had a couple of cases now that have windowed side-panels but they're acrylic/plexiglass/plasticy stuff

Anyone know anywhere that does custom - or precut - glass windows for sidepanels?

(I'm well aware that my RV03 with the system it hitting 15Kg at the moment so an extra few Kgs of glass shouldn't matter :P )

thanks :)

I wouldn't get glass either, if you scratch or break it, it would cost more to replace.

i guess the point of glass is that you cant scratch it that easy. Just google CNC and glass...there are many companies do stuff like a window for a case. shouldn't be that hard to find, but i don't think it's cheap :D

You should be able to buy a sheet of glass precut at your local home depot. And use some double sided tape to stick it onto the sidepanel :)

However you'd have a hard time scratching it. Also it'd be 10 times easier to clean and keep clean.

Yeah, I am sorry, didn't really think that reply through as much, only running on 4 hours of sleep.

You could actually bolt it on if you wanted, it is possible to drill holes in glass just takes some patience, a reasonable amount of water and copper pipe. Make sure its double glaze though or it will be extremely fragile.

I would go with clear acrylic (perspex) as its less brittle and cheaper. but if you really wnat glass your best bet is to find a local glass business that make windows etc as they will either have a cut glass to size service or they will have the tools so if you pay them enough they will do it.

Dude honestly don't worry about the weight. Try lugging around a 40kg Cosmos 2 for a year and 15kgs won't even be a problem:-)
