Yeah sorry for the lack of information. It boots and asks me to visit the BIOS which I have but I am a new to this and don't know what I'm looking for. Also it asks me if I want to do something with the shell. Anymore information please ask

I do that and then a screen appears saying EFI Shell Version 2.31 [4.654]

Current running mode 1.1.2

map: Cannot find required map name.

Press ESC in 4 seconds to skip and any other key to continue

I press ESC and this just keeps a peering

 

Have you tried pressing any other key?

Yeah it just comes up with a area for me to type shell commands. Any ideas what I need to do?

 

While in the BIOS reset everything to default. If there is a all in one button to do that, then do it. Also try F5 while in BIOS, this should do the default settings...

 

You had a G3258? so did you have it overclocked? (Im guessing so) So you need to reset everything.

 

Is your BIOS fully up to date? If not, you should do that.

 

Try updating your BIOS with the G3258 if you are having problems doing it with the i5.
