Failure configuring updates loop

So i have built my first gaming rig today. I have installed windows 8, and all the important updates, however upon restarting to apply updates, windows displays failure to configure updates, reverting and then stays stuck there forever, even force restarting causes me to go back to the same screen. Any suggestions?

See if you can boot into safe mode or something.

Try mashing F8 when trying to boot.

i have successfuly booted into the advance option and have now selected the refresh your pc option, fingers crossed it works.

Well the refresh was a success however now I have to re install all the drivers, programs etc unfortunately

That's unfortunate, but still, it's good that it's working.
