PC not performing as it should.

I have noticed that most of my games do not perform at the amount FPS i am supposed to be getting. 
Processor: AMD A8-6600K APU
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8570D
Ram: 8 GB

After watching some reviews of the APU that i currently have, i have noticed that people get way higher fps with nearly the same setup as me in the same games.

For example in Minecraft i get an average 60 fps and while recording 25 fps on 480p.
But others get an average 70 FPS WHILE recording on 720p.


Teamfortress: 
I get 50 fps without recording.
Others: 50 fps while recording on 1080p.

Skyrim:
I get 10 fps without recording.
Others get 30 fps while recording on 1080p.

(Everything was tested without having anything else open)

I don't know what could be causing this, nor do i know what i can do to fix it, which is why i am asking all of you for help.
Keep in mind i am not very strong with computers so i can't be very technical with my explanations, also I currently don't have the finances to buy a new graphics card, and i don't really know which one either way...


Also, on another note i have noticed that i cannot play videos while playing any game, i could be playing a simple game like hearthstone or AdVenture capitalist and if i start watching any video on 720p on my second monitor at the same time, the video would start lagging... I don't really mind, but on my older computer i didn't have that problem even though it was way worse than my current one.

Have you installed your GPU drivers? Are they on the latest version? That sounds like a driver issue.

Not exactly, i do have the exact amount of ram as the others and the same APU of course, so i am not really sure what the problem could be, i have dedicated 3 GB ram to minecraft (It's the main game i play, so its easier for me to compare with others) so it should be running smoothly, but the fps says otherwise..

In fact i have installed the latest driver last month but it didn't help that much. I can try doing it again and see what happens!

Ram could be a issue, also if they have their stuff oc'ed then yes that would be a issue aswell for performance

If i look under Device Manager - Display adapters it does show one driver, and it says it works properly.. Is that it?

Yeah that'd tank your performance. You should have 2133 or 2400 if you want to use an APU to full ability.

Since i got the computer (which was in December this year) i have not touched anything that has anything to do with over clocking,  because i have no idea how it works or how to control it, so if it has been over clocked by default i would be surprised, and it would explain quite a bit..

Not really, just whatever looks good to you. Ram is ram in most cases so you really can't go wrong.

Well, my friend had a problem with ram before so he went out and bought new sticks only to find out that his computer did not work with those ram sticks well, his computer was too old or something similar.. so he somehow managed to go wrong with it.

Also i noticed that most ram on amazon is 1600MHz, and anything around 2133MHz and 2400MHz costs nearly 100£, which is a bit too much... Does it not come cheaper than that?

AND! I am watching a Linus video right now about ram, and he shows a graph that shows minimal FPS improvement no matter how much memory speed you have, are you sure RAM will actually make a change?

Some computers might throw a fit, it depends on voltages, timings, overclocks on the cpu, etc. But 99%of the time it'll be fine.

Sadly they cost that much because the yields on the chips capable of running at those speeds so they cost more.

The video Linus did was not using an APU, but a system with a dedicated graphics card. The iGPU in your system uses system RAM instead of the VRAM placed on dedicated cards which is MUST faster than normal system RAM. If you were to lower the VRAM speeds down to 1600 MHz you would see the performance absolutely tank. Same case with an APU, you need faster RAM for better performance.

Ya'll are wrong, it is most likely the lack of ram or the fact that Joker is only using one stick of ram out of the 2 slots he has
