motherboard descisions

Hi can you please help me choose between these two motherboards for a gaming/workstation build.

I am not sure which one I want I think the maximus is better but it is worth the 50 dollar price premium?

Thanks for the help!

Assuming it's Maximus VI Formula vs Z97 Pro Gamer, just get the Pro Gamer. Save a bit of money and put it somewhere else in the build.

Sounds about right.  Unless you are dead set on ROG boards I would also just go for the gamer.  Same chipset same company and good quality.

There is really no noticeable performance boost if you get a more expensive "luxirious" MoBo but you get Looks and some more features as more crossfire or sli support manual powerbuttons and some other stuff just take the one you prefer and also in what build are you gonna use it in I'm interested

Its not worth it to go for the ROG board. The other one will give you the same performance albeit maybe slightly less sata and usb3 ports and very very very slightly lower overclocking possibility

Cpu:i5-4690k Gpu:r9 280x with some other things
