It's a neat build. But where i live the price difference between the 120GB and the 256GB mx100 isn't that big. So if you can afford it, i would really advise you to bump up the SSD to 256GB. (you've left some space in your budget)

Besides that it's great!

When in doubt: C4

yh thanks :) is this necessary? 2nd HDD: SSD Crucial BX100 120GB

well... an 120GB SSD will be enough to fit your windows, so you can have faster boot times, and windows can be a tad more snappy, but thats about it.

its the question if you want to spend the extra money on that or not.

Good looking build.  I have a few suggestions:

- 500 watts might be fine today, but remember that PSU power output is reduced over time.  You can lose 10% to 20% over 3 to 5 years.  I suggest getting at least 20% more watts than you need.  And of course, don't get a crappy PSU.

- Dump the after market CPU cooler, and instead, upgrade to a faster CPU (such as 4690).  These Haswell CPUs don't produce as much heat as the AMD CPUs, and I find the stock cooler works just fine.

- Try to find a way to run Ethernet cable to your PC so you don't have to use wifi.  Save your wifi for mobile devices.  If you must use it, get a PCI wifi card with big antennas.

The SSD is not a must, no.  It makes things load up faster, but won't do that much when playing games.  You can always add the SSD later if you want.
