i have an H100i gtx plugged in to cpu_fan on the motherboard and on boot it says cpu fan error. i have tried dropping the min fan rpm down to 200 but it still pops up.

temps hold right around 29c to 31c the pump is working. i was messing with setting for over an hour and temps stayed right in that range.

when i boot it goes straight to bios.

i have not installed windows yet any ideas would help..

in the bios i have 3 settings on the cpu fan: 1.) Disable  2.) DC  3.) PWM

the fan rpms are right around 500

is this because the fans are controlled from corsair link?

system is

4790k

asus z97-ar

H100i gtx

do you have the pump pluged into your cpu fan header? havent used the corsair stuff and i know they have a weird way of doing things with the pump.

yes the pump has one cable that you plug your rad fans into. and then the is another cable that you plug in to the cpu fan header for power

again i dont know the corsair link system but alot of aio's need the pump to be pluged into a system fan header and the fans pluged into the cpu fan header.

You said you haven't installed Windows yet?

Install it, download all your drivers, then go ahead and download Corsair Link.

Once in corsair link, if your fans and/or LED options don't appear on the left to change, while the system is on, remove the USB connecter from your motherboard and plug it back in.

It should prompt you with an install and restart.

Then your corsair link should be working fine with fans running at the normal speed (I think its like 1500RPM).

I had this issue with my evo 212 when I used to use it, I ended up going in the BIOS and just having it ignore CPU fan errors.

Let me know once you try what I said.

Also make sure you have the h100i installed correctly.

My installation is both included fans are connected to the two way connecter, then connected to the pump. The little wire that comes out of the pump connected to the CPU_FAN slot on the motherboard, and the obvious USB connecter connected to the USB slot on your motherboard.
