Would you use this?

I got the idea to build a support frame like this for a hammock, but make an arm that would extend out with a VESA mount for a monitor so that I could play games while in the hammock. Does anyone else think that it would be a cool way to play games, despite having to use a controller.

Nopes, I can sit one, maybe two ways when playing games and in a hammock is not one of them.

if you can position the monitor in a comfortable place, then this is awesome

ya i would extend the earm out to the middle and get a long hdmi to my computer. It is double awesome.
