Black bars in Windows 7

Hi. I just built a new pc today. It has an R9 260x and I bought a Benq XL 2411. I installed the newest drivers and AMD Catalyst Suite. When I recently rebooted them system, Windows opened with black bars and text looks blurry. Is there any driver that did this? How can I fix this? Thanks!

Sounds like HDMI overscan settings, go in CCC and check it.

ah! I see what you mean but I have gone through all the settings... I there a setting that I have overlooked?

I changed from HDMI to DVI and it solved the issue. Thanks!

In AMD's Catalyst Control Center there's a setting for "overscan" when using HDMI, that's what determines how the image is scaled to your monitor. Looks something like this:
