Do you think with the Gigabyte I could get FPS over 75 when I play BF4 for example?

I get 87 fps on ULTRA with my R9 280x, ofc using Mantle but nevertheless.

Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb@1600Mhz) GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x (factory oc) PSU: Thermaltake SmartSE 730w Case: Corsair 200R

Easily.

Go for g1 if you want performance, its also supposed to be quiet.

Go for EVGA if you want good support.

Dont go for ASUS if you have these other choices.

All 970s perform pretty much the same, g1 gaming has best cooling and gigabyte also sort the chips or something and put the best one in top tier card (G1 gaming) so great overclocking guaranteed.

Personally, I'm a bit sucker for looks, so I'd go reference all the way. Anything else is ASUS Strix cards.

I'd recommend the gigabyte g1 gaming, very quiet card, runs cool, overclocks great!

Follow @Lays tutorial and you can enable 0RPM mode just like on the EVGA models and ASUS Strix, then it is completely silent at idle!

When gaming, even doing stuff like running skyrim with 80+ mods (most graphical) at 4K (using DSR) the card never went above 72c, and the entire time my cpu fan (intel stock cooler) was louder xD

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Certainly, I have the G1 GTX 970 paired with an FX-8320 and I always get above 60 FPS in BF4 1080P Ultra.

No need for such a fancy cooler. A dark rock pro 3 will do a similar job and run quieter (and fit to the case's colour scheme).

The VG248QE has PWN backlighting (more flickering than) so i suggest an XL2430T or XL2411Z instead.

looks nice but MBO is overkill, it doesn't affect performance so get something like ASUS Z97 AR instead and save money, if it is gaming PC get i5 4690K instead of i7, use saved money to get second 970 (even if you will have to save up a little more, it is worth it) with 2x 970s EVGA750G2 is perfect but if you don't plan to SLI it is overkill. :)

For the cooler, I want a water cooler, don't want a big tower anymore. The parts need to be available on canadacomputer.com . The Rock Pro3 is not available on that store. I posted a topic here about the monitors it was the Asus VG248QE vs the BenQ XL2420Z and people were saying the Asus one. For the mobo i plan on SLI around christmas probably buy a second Gigabyte GTX 970. I will be gaming and recording videos so I think i would be good with the i7?

i7 is worth it if you do a lot of editing, unless you have YT channel or something like that it is not needed but it is still the best CPU for gaming just not so good price performance wise, I would definitely change the MBO though, ASUS Z97 AR is great, MSI gaming 5 if you want red/black color scheme.

All the parts as to be available at the store I will buy the whole thing. Those are all the Asus Z97 motherboard they have.

I would probably not aim for such an expensive motherboard - maybe try to get 16gb ram instead.

ASUS Z97 A is same as AR just gold instead of silver, if you don't want silver MBO get MSI gaming 5, it's great as well :)

You have the i7 4790k ? I know maybe the mobo is overkill, I could change it but the Asus Z97 AR is not available where i will buy it.

Sorry i just saw that you said the Asus Z97 A is the same just gold instead. If I want to keep the i7 and the mobo what should i change to be less overkill? the GPU?

I like all the features of it and the bios, I don't know if there's anything else that looks a bit the same in terms of features?

90% of ocing features of those boards you wont need. An MSI/Gigabyte/ASRock board or lower end asus boards will have EVERYTHING you could need.
