Microsoft Surface 2 Help

Hello, I plan on buying a refurbished Microsoft surface 2 off ebay for 200$ (edgy m8). I had to return a Microsoft surface RT becuase it didnt work well with the touchpad and I couldnt install anything on it even google chrome. I plan on using my surface for things like downloading steam, editing photos, and just watching movies. Will I be able to download things like steam, photoshop, lightroom, and google chrome or will it not allow me because the system might be RT, if so please tell me it would be a major help.

The surface 2 is an RT device and will not support normal windows programs.

The Surface 2 is based on Windows RT. This means you cant install any of those programs on it, as well as any x86 programs. You are limited to the app store. The only Devices based on Windows 8.1, the x86 version, are the Surface Pro models and the newly introduced Surface 3. So if you want to do all of that, you'll have to get a Surface Pro or a Surface 3.
