BF4 Res won't change

I can't seem to change my resolution scale or resolution above 1080p (yes DSR is enabled and it works in any other games) as it changes the resolution back to 1080p and resolution scale just wont change anything.

 

Example (Observe the text top left getting smaller indicating res change then returning showing return to 1080p):

I already explained that it changes back to 1080p..

I don't see it in the video; ANYWAYS. 

Verify the game files in origin

Windows 8.1 user, huh?

 

Have you tried running it under Windows 7 compatibility?

Have you already tried re-installation after removing/purge previous install? What about your inis? See if they are "read only" and see if you can make the changes in there.

weird, for me running in Win7 mode fixed it.

 

Did you make sure to change it back to "read only" after you made the edits? If you made the edits while it was read only it wouldn't make the changes if you attempted to save. Did you make any prior tweaks to the ini? Anything with "GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount" or something? You can try removing your edits to see if it works, or deleting the inis to start fresh (make a backup, just wanna see if it fixes the issue). Also this might be a stupid suggestion, but you are sure you aren't running the 32bit exe right?
