Question about download speed!

So this is what speed test is reporting :

 

 

This is tested on my laptop but when I'm on my desktop ( Wired connection ) and I'm downloading a game on Steam the max speed is 1.8Mbps.

 

So my question is why isn't the download speed on steam being full utilized?

 

If anyone can help me understand that would be great!

It is.. divide that by 8.

15.33Mb/s is about 1.8MB/s anyways, you are getting fair speeds.

Remember Mb=Megabit and MB=Megabyte.

Aside from using straight ethernet, unless your ISP is throttling your connection then there is nothing you can do. If you're getting advertised speeds then the best thing you can do is buy a better package for it.
