problem with FAFSA

so i applied for student aid, and one out of the 5 colleges i put on the list sent me a letter saying how the social security administration couldnt confirm my citizenship, i have a US passport, SSA card, and all health documents so im really scared as to what this means. what should i do? 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

First off, follow your own topics so you can see when peeps reply without them quoting you.

 

So, this shouldn't be that big of an issue. If anything, call them and specifically ask how the SSA couldn't confirm your citizenship when the other four colleges had no problems. You have a US Passport AND an SS# so you should not have much worries. They prolly just hecked up. Calm down man--I was in the same boat 4 years ago.

im gonna go to eh SSA office and see whats up, and i don't press the follow button, but bookmark the thread cuz i hate getting notifications.

Go to the financial aid office and find out what happened. It could have easily been an mistake on their part. 

Note: Due to FERPA you can't call and ask over the phone if it involves sensitive information.

The FAFSA screwed up for everyone. For me, it was saying my tax info was wrong even though it was clearly correct. Not like it mattered to me, I got nothing from them because my parents make too much money. Funny how it just assumes that your parent's are the ones paying. 

 

If one college out of 5 got it wrong, then it is probably a mistake on their end.
