Far Cry 4 crashes within 30 minutes every time with "Display driver has crashed and recovered" .  Have to reboot the system because I can't see the desktop with the crashed FC4 window not being able to close.

Have:

uninstalled and clean installed latest Nvidia driver

unistalled and reinstalled Far Cry 4

Tested the Titan X with Uniengine Heaven (ran 40 minutes on extreme settings no errors), 3D Mark Firestrike (no errors), ran Crysis 3 with no errors.

Contacted Ubisoft with the issue and they are working to give me an answer.

Looking online it seems other people are having the same issue.  The driver I am using is the latest for GTA 5.  I bought that game today just to test to see if the error comes back.

That would be your overlock. Revert to stock speeds and try again. Some games are picky, Far Cry 4 being one of them

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

- Cave Johnson, founder and CEO of Aperture Science, in Portal 2

I have no overclocks on GPU or CPU.  Bought GTA V and running it no problem.
