does sage, excel need a GPU. my tutor think I need one?

Nope the onboard graphics of the CPU will be all it needs, there is nothing for it to render so it wont even use the GPU at all

(also I forgot there was someone else here from the same town)

AMD APUs can use HSA with programs like Libre Office (but not MS Excel to my knowledge) in order to improve spreadsheet performance.

In general though, you'll benefit more from a more powerful CPU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

exactly haha

unless you embed some sort of insane graphics into it, but I still think a CPUs GPU could handle it
