Hi, I'm making a pc for my friend but I'm not sure if everything is right. It would help me a lot if you guys could tell me if something is wrong or if I can get something better for the same price range.

These are the speccs:

cpu: Intel Core i7-4790K

gpu: Gigabyte GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD

mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI

cpu cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i

ram: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

powersupply: Silverstone Strider Essential 700W Bronze

storage: Crucial MX100 256GB and WD Blue WD10EZEX, 1TB

case: what he desires.

The 4790k isn't really worth getting over the much cheaper much similarly performing 4690k for gaming. The h100i is also needlessly expensive.

Is your friend planning to sli?

Safe some money and get an i5-4690k. Will perform exactly the same in games and is cheaper.

Put the extra money in a better GPU or more SSD storage.

Is your friend planning for an SLI build with the gtx 970? If not, the 700W psu would be a waste. My advice go: go with a 600W psu that is gold certified...there will be probably no difference in money. a gtx 970 barely uses a 500W psu completely.
