Would you say this is ok for a loop?

Hey everyone

Planning to water cool for the first time at around the end of the year. I don't really feel safe ordering the parts separately and would like to get your advice on this full kit. Yes, it's cheap and that''s why I'm wondering if this would be ok for a first loop. Thanks for all your input! http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Magicool-DIY-120-Liquid-Cooling-System-2011-1366-115x-775-and-AMx-FMx_49872.html

If your not comfortable ordering separate parts why not go with one of corsairs closed loop products. I'm assuming it's just the cpu you'll be cooling in which case it's a much safer and reliable option.

This is the cheapest of the range they have more pricey ones that you could look at.

I already have a AIO (cooler master seidon 120) but I am hoping to start off with something like this and expand in the future because it seems like such an interesting thing to get into.

Unless you're just doing it for the sake of doing it, I wouldn't spend any more money on your cooling system. Especially with the G3258 and a 760 reference. You really won't see any tangible gains. On top of that, you're not even getting a larger radiator.

Plus, your case isn't very receptive to water cooling, unless you grab a dremel and start cutting.

In this instance, it just seems like money well spent elsewhere. If you buy that kit, you're essentially just side-stepping from your AIO to a custom setup. If you were to spend another 100$ or so on a better kit, then that would also be better spent elsewhere. As soon as you get into the $200 range you're much better off buying an i5 4690k to upgrade from your g3258. Same with your GPU, 760 -> r9 280x/290/970

I 100% agree with all your points there about the case and CPU - I already have upgrade plans before doing something like this as well, for example I'm changing the CPU to an i5 4690k and case and case to an NZXT S340 ASAP. I don't think I would be cooling the GPU anywhere in the near future because as you said, there's not really any point. As for the kit I will be definitely looking at different options but I'm sure I want to watercool in the future. Anyway, thanks for the great response!!

yep, spend your money on those upgrades first!

I also don't even think they make a waterblock for the 760
