Remote Desktop Connection Infinitely Loading

Hi All,

 

My colleagues machine is a Dell Vostro 2013 with an i5 CPU, 8gb RAM and on Win 8.1 .

 

I have a problem with RDC infinitely loading with the loading bar animation just keep looping and never connecting to the server I'm trying to get on to, my first thought that it would maybe RDC is using to many resources and causing it freeze but it is only using a couple mb of ram and barely any cpu. Then after some searching I tried turning off audio streaming but still nothing.

 

 

Also I am able to access the same server on my pc with RDC so I know that the server is working fine.

 

If you guys could please advise that would be amazing!

Are you connecting locally or have your port-forwarded and are connecting over WAN ?

First thing I would say for you to check is any Anti-Virus/Firewall you have running.

It is done by port-forwarding, I will check the AV now thanks.

 

 

you could try a program like team viewer works very well

Unfortunately that would be a lot for servers to install Teamviewer on and would be more hassle than its worth thanks anyway though.
